Do you "sort of" know how to use a computer? Do you sometimes save a file and then have no idea where to find it again? If someone tells you to save something to your desktop do you just nod your head, having no idea how to do that?

If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, this one-day course is for you. This class presents the basic concepts of the Windows XP operating system and teaches the common tools that can be used in many other computer programs.

Students will learn to:

• Work with the desktop, taskbar and start menu
• Create and organize folders and files
• Access help and the support center
• Work with Microsoft Word
• Create desktop shortcuts
• Delete and restore folders and files
• Customize your workstation
• Use Internet Explorer
