ERIE – Erie Mayor Joe Sinnott recently presented a proclamation declaring official Erie Bike Nights for the Roar on the Shore™ rally this summer.
Mayor Sinnott made the presentation to Richard Brzuz, administrator, Shriners Hospitals for Children – Erie; Seth Tuttle, chairman of the Roar on the Shore™ Board of Directors; John Krahe, vice president of the Manufacturers’ Association; and Ray Schreckengost, executive director of the Erie-Western Pennsylvania Port Authority, on April 8 at the Association’s Conference Center (see attached photo).
This year’s Roar on the Shore™ is planned for July 17 – 20, with proceeds going to the Shriners Hospitals for Children - Erie. The main hub of activity for the rally will be Perry Square in downtown Erie with local, regional and national musical acts performing on the main stage.
The headline Rock ‘n’ Roar concert featuring Blue Oyster Cult is set for Saturday, July 19, at Liberty Park Amphitheater on Erie’s bayfront. The show will be opened by the Robertson FMX extreme motorcycle stunt team.
Also appearing will be Michele Smith, host of the Speed Channel’s “American Thunder” show. Ms. Smith will be the mistress of ceremonies for the Roar on the Shore™ bike contest.
Rhett Rotten will bring his Wall of Death stunt show to Perry Square. A regular attraction at motorcycle rallies all over the country, Rotten defies gravity by riding his motorcycle inside a wall of death barrel. He will be performing throughout the weekend.
