Expert to Address Spiraling Costs and Solutions
ERIE – The Manufacturers’ Association will host a luncheon on health-care reform, starting at noon Monday, April 7 at the Association’s Conference Center, 2171 West 38th Street. All media are invited to attend.
Guest speaker will be Cliff Shannon, former president of Pittsburgh-based SMC Business Councils. Shannon is a recognized expert on the topic of health-care reform with decades of experience dealing with the issue.
Discussion points include:
- Health-care costs
- Small group reform
- How business can address the issue
The federal government estimates that by 2017, total health-care spending will double to more than $4.3 trillion a year.
