More than 126 Graduates from 54 Area Employers Honored

ERIE – The Manufacturers’ Association honored 126 graduates of its training programs during a special recognition ceremony on Thursday, May 1, at the Association’s Conference Center, 2171 West 38th Street and Pittsburgh Avenue.

“Our organization has a very deep commitment to lifelong learning,” said Manufacturers' Association President Ralph Pontillo. “Each of us face unprecedented challenges in today’s global economy. Knowledge is ower and each graduate has recognized that the pursuit of knowledge on a continuous basis is what will help differentiate us as individuals and collectively as organizations from the competition.”

The training graduates, who represent 54 area companies, have completed any one of the Association’s certificate programs including: Supervisory Skills Series, Leadership for Team Leaders Series, Strategic Management Series, HR Essential Certification Series or Computer Software Specialist Series. Graduates work in manufacturing, health care, service and governmental fields throughout the Association’s 17-county membership area.

“Few things in business compare to knowing that your management efforts have led to the improvement and ultimate success of others,” added Pontillo. “That is the true role of a leader – to inspire others to greatness.”
