HR Essential Certification Series
A well-trained HR department is vital to the success of your business.
Department managers along with new and experienced human resource professionals will gain a clear understanding of today’s complex labor laws from this essential certification course taught by the Association’s labor and employment law attorneys.
Each course is offered twice a year from 8 a.m. – noon and includes a one hour question-and-answer session. HR Essential Certification will be awarded to participants who complete all five courses within a 12-month period.
JOB DESCRIPTIONS:

Learn how to write, audit and update well-defined job descriptions that are properly linked to performance expectations ($60).
INTERVIEWING AND HIRING:

Fine-tune your interviewing techniques, remain legally compliant, avoid negligent hiring cases and learn the dos and don’ts of job offers ($60).

COMPENSATION PROGRAMS:

Develop competitive compensation programs, find out the correct use
of compensation surveys and discover the best practices in performance-based rewards ($60).
RECORDKEEPING:

Gain answers to questions regarding payroll records, personnel files, OSHA recordkeeping requirements and much more ($60).
TERMINATIONS:

Avoid employment-related lawsuits by learning appropriate and inappro-priate termination techniques, constructive discharge and why you need termination checklists ($60).
