Through laws, regulations and court rulings, state and federal leaders make decisions that impact your companies' ability to succeed, which in turn affects your employees’ jobs, wages, benefits, health care and livelihood. ![]() Groups who are best at turning out voters generally have a great communications infrastructure to help them succeed. As a business, you probably have a great communications infrastructure, too. As an employer, your company has another tremendous asset: a group of people with a shared, personal stake in the candidates and policies that impact your jobs and industry. Your employees are your greatest political resource and the lack of employee involvement can mean the difference between electing an official who supports manufacturing and one who does not. The Pennsylvania Prosperity Project is an effective way for the business community to communicate its message to employees. The P2 is a nonpartisan effort to help employers increase and improve their communication with employees about the public policies and elections that impact their firms. Pennsylvania will be home to 252 elections in 2006, among them a U.S. Senate election, gubernatorial election, 19 Congressional races, 25 state Senate races, 203 state House races, and three special elections. Nationally, Pennsylvania is one of the most important states in 2006. In order to be prepared for the 2006 elections, it is important that the Pennsylvania business community create the infrastructure today.
