During what hours can I reach the HR Hotline?

Our Hotline is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., at 800/815-2660 or 814/833-3200.

What services are available through the Manufacturer's Association's Human Resource Services Division?

The division functions as a full-service, human resource department for our members and provides all services from recruiting, candidate screenings, preparation of employee handbooks and conducting employee opinion surveys providing interim or long-term HR support. A complete list of services is available by calling the Human Resource Services Division.

If I need a particular human resource service and want the Manufacturers' Association's HR Services Division's assistance, what should I do?

All of our services are available to our members. Call the HR Services Division to discuss your particular needs. We will prepare a formal proposal for providing that service. If the proposal meets your needs, we can begin the project at your request.

What types of surveys does the HR Services Division perform, and can members access that information?

The Association's HR Services Division produces annual wage and benefit surveys, both nationally and regionally based. Specialized surveys for executive and engineering compensation are also conducted. Surveys help employers compare their wage and benefit structures on both a regional and national basis. Survey participants receive their copies of the survey results at no charge.

Can I join the HR Professionals Roundtable after the beginning of the year?

Yes. Just call and indicate you would like to join. We would be happy to welcome you at any time during the year. The roundtables meet monthly. You will be sent a schedule of the meeting dates.

Is information available on new regulations impacting human resources?

Yes. Simply call the HR Hotline and tell us the information you need, and we will be happy to send it to you.

Is training available for human resource practitioners?

Yes. A variety of training opportunities, ranging from general subjects to preparation for the PHR/SPHR exam, are available at the Association. The Association's Training Department can answer questions and help callers identify courses that will meet their needs.

Is anyone from the Manufacturer's Association available to address specific issues at a member's staff or management meetings?

Yes. This is part of our HR consulting service. Simply call the HR Services Division and indicate what particular topic is of concern, and we will work through the details with you.

How do I get a copy of the monthly HR newsletter?

The HR In Review is available on our Web site.

Are the services of the HR Services Division available to nonmembers of the Manufacturer's Association?

Yes. Most services are available to nonmembers at a premium cost.
