2007/2008 American Manufacturing Tribute Bike Tour
To educate and excite high school students about careers in manufacturing, the Manufacturers’ Association of Northwest Pennsylvania and the National Tooling & Machining Association of Northwest PA are gearing up for a 17-county tour of schools, showcasing the American Manufacturing Tribute Bike. This one-of-a-kind Harley-Davidson Softail Deluxe motorcycle represents the best of American manufacturing and the 21 member companies who supply parts for Harley.
As part of The Making of a Legend – Careers in Manufacturing program, students gain a better understanding of the technology and training required in manufacturing, as well as the importance of mathematics and science education in all aspects of the industry.
